Sweepstakes Dates: May 22 – September 4, 2017.

Entry forms:  To enter, submit a photo to Instagram using the hashtag “#knowCOsummer” and tagging “@thknwco”.  No mail-in entries will be accepted.

Eligibility: The sweepstakes is open to adults 21 years of age or older and who are legal residents of the United States.  Employees of The Denver Post, Media News Group, and Sponsor Companies, and their immediate families and persons living in their households are not eligible. This offer is void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to Federal, State and local laws. Entrants accept the conditions stated in the rules and agree to be bound by the decisions of The Denver Post & Digital First Media.

Eligible Entries: The Denver Post will determine in its sole discretion which entries are valid entries according to these Official Rules. All decisions regarding the selection of winners are final. All entries become property of The Denver Post, Sponsors, and will not be returned. Photos submitted must be original work and taken by the person who submits the entry.

Selection of Winner:  All qualified entries received during the official entry period will be combined into a single entry pool. One Hundred (100) photos will be chosen by The Denver Post Photo Team and one (1) entrant will be selected by a public vote on all eligible entries, during the week following September 4, 2017, and will be declared the Winner (subject to eligibility verification and compliance with these rules).  Entries received before or after the official entry period will be disqualified.

Notification of Winners:  The Winner will be notified by by The Denver Post, and they are not responsible for unsuccessful attempts to notify winners. If a selected Winner is ineligible, or if Winner fails to pick up the prize and sign the necessary forms within 7 days, the prize shall be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner selected by a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

Confirmation of Winners:  Prizes will be issued when The Denver Post has determined, in its sole discretion, the Winner submitted an eligible entry and otherwise complied with the Official Rules.  All decisions of The Denver Post will be final. Winner will be required to provide a valid social security or federal tax ID number before the prize will be awarded. Prizes will be reported to the IRS and State Revenue department via Form1099.  All costs and taxes are the responsibility of the Winner.

Permission to Publicize:  Except where prohibited by law, by accepting any prize, the Winner agrees to release The Denver Post, their owners, affiliate companies, and sponsors to use the Winners’ names, likeness, voice and statements in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes without additional compensation in reference to this sweepstakes.

Release of Liability:   Entrants release, discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless, The Denver Post & Sponsors, their owners and members, against any claims or liability for any damages, injury or losses (including death) to any person, or property, of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from participation in any participation in the bucket list. By accepting a prize, the Winner agrees to release The Denver Post & Sponsors their owners, members, affiliate companies, subsidiaries, divisions and their respective directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitations any advertising or promotion agency, form any liability, loss or damages arising from the receipt, or use or misuse of the prize or prize-related activities.  A signed release is required for the issuance of any prize.

General Conditions and Restrictions:  The Denver Post & Sponsors have the right to cancel, suspend or modify this Sweepstakes at any time, for any reason solely at their discretion without notice or liability.  Any person attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes will be disqualified.  Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Winners may be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to receiving their prize. All federal, state and local laws apply, and this Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, expenses and incidentals not specifically provided. Winner must provide proof of legal name, address, zip code, telephone number and social security number to receive prize (for example, in the form of a government-issued drivers license or identification card). Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this Sweepstakes in any way shall be disqualified. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the Sweepstakes is prohibited. The Denver Post decides as to all matters related to the administration of the Sweepstakes and selection of the prizewinner is final.

Internet: If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the Sweepstakes, The Denver Post reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion of the Sweepstakes. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES. Information submitted in entries, The Denver Post and all contest sponsors may use including entrant’s name, address, e-mail, etc., marketing or promotional purposes.
